Quietly comes mist.
White tree hosts a chirping choir,
woodpecker tapping.

Tall grass swaying still.
Small boy floats on grassy bed,
follows a lone cloud.

Haiku Blues
Smokestack lightning flares.
Yellow flashes in the black.
Howlin’ Wolf’s blues song.
