Conrad Black and the Dialectic

I watched Conrad Black interviewed by Allan Gregg on Gregg And Company last night. Black is impressive. Highly articulate, acutely intelligent, charismatic, a natural aristocrat, a force of nature--these qualities I was already familiar with. But I sensed a new personal synthesis in Black, the combination of these already prevalent qualties with a chastened, somewhat battered by experience Black, synthesized into wisdom which blends strikingly strength and humility.
