Twitter

I highly recommend Twitter, which I have been doing and following for about a month. It keeps you in loops, provides a constant flow of mini news and excellent links, and lets you participate in meta history--observing it informing it. All that outweighs its quotient of sheer ephemera. And you can, as some do, tweet in literate prose. @itzikbasman, for example.
